U.S. Stocks
Fundamental Analysis:
U.S. stocks recovered most of their losses during the session as investors assessed the latest developments after the West increased sanctions against Russia.
The S&P 500 closed slightly lower, falling for two consecutive months for the first time since October 2020. At the same time, the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose, while the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) spiked as a senior Biden adviser said Russia’s invasion of Ukraine overshadowed the U.S. economic outlook.
Overnight swap data for the date of the Fed’s policy meeting showed the likelihood of the Fed raising rates by more than 25 basis points at its March meeting was almost zero. Also, increasingly tough sanctions against Russia could lead to the country’s stocks and bonds being kicked out of major global benchmark indices.
Technical Analysis:

Execution Insight:
The Dow focuses on the 34088-line today. If the Dow runs stably below the 34088-line, then pay attention to the support strength of the 33390 and 32975 positions. If the Dow breaks above the 34088-line, then pay attention to the suppression of the 34477-line.
Hong Kong Stocks
Fundamental Analysis:
The three major indices of Hong Kong stocks rose collectively. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) rose 0.12%, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) rose 0.27%, and the Hang Seng TECH Index (HSTECH) rose 0.36%.
Large technology stocks were mixed, Meituan (3690.HK), JD.com, Inc. (9618.HK) rose more than 1%, Alibaba Group Holding Limited (9988.HK) fell 1.92%, and NetEase, Inc. (9999.HK) opened slightly lower.
Auto stocks, coal stocks opened vigorously, with XPeng Inc. (9868.HK) opened by 4% higher. Meanwhile, biotechnology stocks, domestic banking stocks, domestic housing stocks, photovoltaic glass stocks mostly rose, with Sunac China Holdings Limited (1918.HK), and Seazen Group Limited (1030.HK) rising about 4%.
On the other hand, yesterday’s strong shipping stocks diverged, while gas stocks, apple concept stocks, and the Hong Kong retail stocks fell in general.
United Company RUSAL (0486.HK) fell by nearly 7%, temporarily closing its alumina refinery in Ukraine’s Nikolaev region.
Technical Analysis:

Execution Insight:
HK50 Index focuses on the 22785-line today. If HK50 can run stably above the 22785-line, then pay attention to the suppression strength of the two positions of 23294 and 23818. If the HK50 strength breaks below the 22785-line, then pay attention to the support of the 21450-line.
FTSE China A50 Index

Execution Insight:
FTSE China A50 pays attention to the suppression strength of the 15184-line today. If the A50 runs stably below the 15184-line, pay attention to the support strength of the two positions of 14669 and 13983. If the A50 strength breaks above the 15184-line, it will open up further upward trend. At that time, pay attention to the 15666-line the suppression strength.
